Sula Qumangat

Cleaning & Cooking

In this episode we spend time with Sula as she works and creates. Alongside her throughout her day we witness the power in observing someone perform tough work in such beautiful detail and care. We see the gentleness of Sula as she works so hard cleaning the Kingulliit Office and the NITV Guest House, taking care in each step and in every detail. We sit with Sula and Tori on the couch as they crochet together, both making art in their own way and later we join as Sula makes a journey onto the land for the first time.

First Day on the land

Preparing to go out on the land, Sula packs a cooler with juice and bread. We join her in a sled, travelling out to Zach’s fishing cabin and for Sula’s first trip onto the land where she hopes to catch a big fish. Sula starts by sweeping the inside of the cabin, so everyone can set up the cabin, preparing to spend the night. After a peaceful night (except for Zach’s snoring!) we sit beside Sula as she frys bacon, eggs and toast for breakfast.
