Travis Kunnuk

The family gets ready to head out on their fishing trip. Organizing tents, skidoos and other supplies before they head off.

Out on the land, tents are set up and Travis sets the nets and they begin to catch fish! Carol cooks burgers for lunch and the family gathers.

The kids play together, with a small spider they found in the rocks, and with small shrimp they are catching in their hands, standing in rubberboots in an inlet of icy cold water. We also join for marshmallow roasts and games of x’s and o’s.

Travis and Mark head out to check the nets for fish and come across a Grieb who is stuck in the nets, it’s hard work to untangle it!

Tonya, Travis, Mark and Carol head to the river to refill water containers and then everyone enjoys dried fish and coffee.

Travis paddles to the river, where he walks along looking for fish.

Tori and Tonya cut up fish together before Mark takes a turn with new fish pulled from the nets.

Work begins to pack up camp, filling sleds with mats, sleeping bags, tents and everything else that was carefully unpacked, set up and then packed up again for the journey home.
